Dance Art for Young Audiences – Guest Lectures by Irma Unušić for Dance Students

The Department of Dance at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb hosted Irma Unušić as part of the course Resources. In December 2026, she led lectures and practical sessions for second-year dance students on the topic of Dance Art for Young Audiences.

The three-day programme combined theory and practice, addressing the specificities of creating dance for children and young people, the importance of age-sensitive approaches, and responsible artistic practice. Students explored selected SHOOMA projects, including The Den Album, mediation formats, and the social dance game Try Dance.

The strong engagement and interest of the students highlighted the importance of a research-based and process-oriented thoughtful approach to dance for young audiences.
